Kestrel Humidity Calibration Kit

Overview:
The Kestrel Calibration Kit allows you to perform multiple recalibrations in the field, ensuring your Kestrel meter always performs within specifications. An included detailed manual walks you through each step of the calibration process. Calibration takes approximately 50 hours, including setup.

Kit Includes:

  • Three clear, sealable containers
  • One container with magnesium chloride salt
  • One container with sodium chloride salt
  • Insulated carrying case – maintains a stable environment during calibration

Compatibility:

  • All 5000 Series Kestrel Meters
  • All discontinued 4000 Series Kestrel Meters
  • Kestrel 3500 and Kestrel 3000

Recalibration Process:

  • Duration: About 48 hours for a full calibration process.
  • Steps:
    1. Prepare and seal the calibration salts with the Kestrel unit in the container.
    2. Allow the unit to sit in the first container for 24 hours before performing the first calibration routine.
    3. Move the unit to the second container and allow it to sit for another 24 hours before completing the second calibration step.

Note:

  • Calibrate only one unit at a time for optimal results.
  • Using distilled water allows for indefinite recalibration.

    • After 30 days: Return to Kestrel AU for a recalibration service ($65 + shipping)
